Storytelling

storytelling at CRC

I'm still very new to storytelling. It is both exciting and terrifying to stand up in front of people and tell stories. I have been to a couple of workshops for storytellers including an amazing weekend at the Clear Storytelling workshop on Cape Clear Island in October 2011.

Here is a video of my one and only storytelling (so far). I was invited to tell three stories to twenty 4 to 7 year old children, plus their teachers and carers, at the Central Remedial Clinic in Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland on May 20th, 2011. This was a volunteer event, and we had a great time together. I even forgot to be nervous. I am dressed as Miss Mina Mouse in a costume I made for Halloween a number of years ago.

The Central Remedial Clinic (CRC) provides a range of specialised services for children and adults with physical disabilities in Ireland. For more information about the CRC, visit the website.
